Hiro

Hiro is the main character in the huge mecha anime Darling in the FranXX and the heart and soul of Squad 13. He was once known as Code 016 and was a child prodigy who lost all of his piloting skills until he met the infamous Zero Two. He is both her literal and figurative darling, the only guy who can ride in the Strelizia without dying. It's amazing how he went from being a sad outcast to a brave leader who fights the universe for love.

Hiro's clean, classic look is a great contrast to Zero Two's more wild style. He has thick black hair, blue eyes that are soft but strong, and he usually wears the standard gray parasite uniform or his stark white pilot plugsuit. Later, his design gets an even cooler upgrade when he starts to change and grow those famous blue horns that go perfectly with his partner. He's a great husbando because he doesn't fit the mold of a typical mecha hero. He is very emotionally smart, cares a lot about others, and is ready to give up everything for his friends. His fierce loyalty, calm demeanor, and raw power as the pilot of Strelizia make him impossible to forget.
