Blend S

Blend S turns the usual maid cafe experience into a comedy about roleplaying at work, with Café Stile as the setting. There, every waitress is hired to play a specific anime character, like "tsundere" or "little sister." The main character is Maika Sakuranomiya, a naturally kind girl whose sharp eyes and nervousness make her look scary without meaning to. Dino, the strange manager of the cafe, hires her to be the "Sadistic" waitress, which turns this flaw into her best quality. The show is funny because of the "gap moe" between Maika and the customers. She tries to be polite but ends up embarrassing them, which they love for some reason. It's a funny look at the service industry, where the staff's real personalities are often very different from the ones they show on the menu.
