Blue Archive

Nexon's Blue Archive is about "what if high school students casually carried assault rifles and nobody questioned it?" You play as Sensei, an advisor to a student investigation club called SCHALE. The game takes place in Kivotos, a huge federation of schools where armed teens are just a part of life. Every student has a strange halo above their head that makes them tough, which is how they stay alive during real fights between classes. The vibe is very specific: it's a mix of bright, colorful "Future Kawaii" styles and tactical combat where you control chibi versions of gun-toting students in real-time battles. People are surprised by how it goes from silly school comedy to serious stories about conspiracies and political drama. One minute you're helping kids deal with test stress, and the next you're finding out about plots all over the city. The whole thing works because of the bond between Sensei and the students. It has a strange but interesting mix of healthy mentor-student relationships and tactical gunfights.
