The twist is that he's being watched by a whole military command center that treats his love life like a military operation. They even give him choices for what to say in real time, like he's playing a dating sim on nightmare mode. It's a mix of harem anime and mecha combat, and every conversation could save or doom humanity depending on how he answers. The show fully commits to this silly idea, going back and forth between huge aerial battles and funny slice-of-life scenes where one guy's ability to juggle multiple relationships without failing is the key to the fate of civilization.
