Onodera Kosaki
Nisekoi
Nisekoi brought the modern harem genre back to life by taking the "Romeo and Juliet" story and taking out the romance, replacing it with mutual hatred and the threat of gang warfare. Raku Ichijou is the heir to a Yakuza group and just wants to live a normal high school life. Chitoge Kirisaki is the daughter of a rival American gangster family. To stop a bloody turf war between their groups, the two have to pretend to be in a relationship ("Nisekoi"), even though they hate each other when they first meet. The main mystery of the series is "Lock and Key," in which Raku searches for the childhood girl who holds the key to his locket. This leads to a fierce "waifu war" among fans as several heroines claim they might be the one. It is a classic example of the genre, using high-energy visual comedy and the painfully slow burn of enemies realizing they are in love to make common tropes better.
