Reverse: 1999

Reverse is a film-style strategy role-playing game that takes place in a world that is falling apart because of time itself. It mixes real events from the 20th century with elements of mystical intrigue. The Storm is a "phenomenon" where rain falls up and the very fabric of reality melts away as whole epochs are erased from history in a never-ending flow of time in reverse." The story is about Vertin, the "Timekeeper," who is the only person who can stop the flow of time. He travels back in time to save Arcanists before they are "sifted away" in a series of journeys through the Roaring Twenties and the Swinging Sixties. The game is unique because of its unique atmosphere, which includes "full English voice acting with period accuracy and accent, a gloomy retro look, and a story in which the past is not just a background for the characters' actions, but a reality that the mystical enemy Manus Vindictae is trying to destroy."
